Just a reminder that today is the last day to grab my new release, “Unplanned Parenthood,” for free. I wrote it five years ago, inspired by the threatened government shutdown over (de)funding Planned Parenthood. Then I thought a dystopian story about women in a failing surveillance state determined to take away their reproductive (and other) freedoms might seem a little outdated and passé.
So if you’re feeling dystopian or freaked out by recent political events, you should check this story out. It’s short (only about 10,000 words) and quick to read. Of course I intended it to be pretty high-brow in its own way, but I don’t think it’s that difficult. And I deliberately tried to be obscure about the main characters’ sexuality and race, so feel free to fill in the blanks however you like there. You can grab a Kindle copy here. And of course, here’s the awesome cover, provided by Alan Clark!
