Hi All!

Happy December! How are we almost to the end of the year? I’m trying to finish up grading finals (it’s that most wonderful time of the year!) while also prepping for the year ahead.

And, of course, there’s puppy-wrangling. Fitz, the Dachshund (?????) puppy I adopted this summer (named after FitzChivaly Farseer, of course), has grown to a whopping 18 pounds of pure muscle. He’s also developed a regrettable taste in camellia trees.

This is unfortunate, since not only do I have several in my garden, I just got a live one that I’ve put on my porch as an outdoor Christmas tree.
